Getting here from the train station takes effort: it’s a long uphill walk through town, then 80 stairs to the room. Going down to town and back is a bit of a workout too. If you have mobility issues, consider a taxi or a porter for your luggage. We stayed in room 2. It had a big balcony overlooking the valley, city, and water. The room was nicely renovated, and we had a wonderful stay.

The apartment was clean and spacious, with a great shower and an amazing view. We didn’t realize we’d booked an apartment. The WiFi wasn’t great. Also, if it rains, there may be nobody at the front desk, and most of the town shuts down. This place is a tough choice if you’re elderly, disabled, or have trouble getting around. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the station, all uphill, followed by steep stairs. We arrived absolutely soaked in sweat, carrying 60 pounds of luggage, and the hostess’s greeting was very blunt. I think a car should be arranged for every guest on arrival. They give you written directions because the address doesn’t work, and hauling bags while trying to follow them wasn’t what I wanted.

We had a late check-in, and the detailed directions, photos, and videos they sent made it very easy. Staff were responsive throughout and gave us helpful suggestions for taxis, luggage storage, and more. Everything about the hotel was great, including the room. It was big, clean, comfortable, and had the best air conditioning, which we really needed. We’d recommend it to anyone visiting Cinque Terre!

Each suite has its own courtyard, so the place feels a bit like a collection of little cabins. It was quiet and felt safe. The hostess was incredibly friendly and gave us great suggestions for nearby restaurants and things to do. The location is convenient if you don’t mind walking a couple of minutes, including up and down a steep flight of stairs to reach the property.
