Sunshine

We left right away and accepted losing the money. We had to share the apartment with someone who lives there permanently, so we were staying with a stranger. The advertised 24-hour English-German reception turned out to be Mrs. Pins speaking Italian, and she left immediately. We also had to find breakfast somewhere else, but couldn't work out where. I don't understand all the good reviews. Sharing the place with someone else is ridiculous.

We had a view of the Mediterranean Sea and Mount Etna, and everything was very clean during our two-day stay. There's a camera in the hallway that seems to be running all the time and recording the view into the kitchen, which made us feel watched and uncomfortable. Even so, we'd gladly return and recommend the accommodation.

The owners are around but keep to themselves, and the rooms are part of a private home with shared common areas. This bed and breakfast faces the sea on one side and Mount Etna on the other. The road outside is unfortunately noisy, but we slept soundly and warmly. Breakfast was excellent.

The host was very helpful and truly kind, and the location is really convenient. The setting is pleasant, but having to share spaces in a shared house should be made clear, especially for people who value privacy. The indoor camera feels very invasive.
