Right in the old city center, and the breakfast had a great variety of food. Dinner was impressive, with four or even five courses, and coffee was always available at the bar at very affordable prices. The check-in rules for an ID card or passport weren’t clear to me. Somehow they wanted to keep it until the end of the stay, rather than just copy it or write down the passport details. There was no kettle or ironing equipment in the room, though there was a hairdryer and small packets of shampoo or washing gel.

I was with the choir "Burtnieks" for the International Choir Competition, where we earned a Golden diploma level 4. The hospitality, friendliness and order at Hotel Antico Borgo helped us feel satisfied and focused on that achievement. Well done, team "Hotel Antico Borgo". I’m looking forward to visiting Riva and staying at your hotel again.

Maria and Maryana at the desk were excellent, helping with dinner suggestions and advice for day trips. The continental breakfast suited us, especially the pastries, and my wife enjoyed a cafe-latte each morning. We had a balcony with great views, and there’s an even better vista from the roof solarium. Our room was spacious and on the top floor. I bumped my head once or twice where the ceiling slopes down, but that was my fault for forgetting.

We’re still here for a few more days, and the location has been fantastic. The food is delicious and comes in multiple courses. The staff are so lovely and go out of their way to make the stay the best it can be. Special mention to Marco, the restaurant manager. Nothing seems like too much trouble. The roof solarium has incredible views, and I’d definitely recommend this place.

Maria gave us great service, and everyone was so welcoming to us and our small dog. They even gave the dog a gift, and the staff can arrange everything. Good location and good breakfast. Thanks again, Marie, for a lovely stay at your hotel!
