The pool area was nicer than the pictures suggested, with a small garden, sunbeds, bean bag chairs, toilets, a self-service bar, and a jacuzzi. The hotel is about 1.5-2km from the center; the beach road is pleasant to walk, and you can rent a bike at the hotel or take a bus closer in. A busy road runs beside it, so be careful crossing. Our host family were very polite and friendly, and their recommendations were great. We spent 7 nights in a renovated, very clean room at Hotel Riviera, with a partial lake view and a lovely large balcony. The darkening curtain also helped block street noise, and the air conditioning was a big relief in the very hot weather. I would have liked a larger, more efficient refrigerator. Breakfast was simple, with fresh fruit and vegetables as the best part, and the morning lake view was amazing. It was an excellent experience, much better than I'd expect from a three star hotel.

The location and the owners, staff, and family are all great. Rooms are excellent and spotlessly clean. The lake view rooms have an amazing outlook, though I'd still say to book even if none are available. It's rated three stars, but feels like it deserves more. Book Hotel Riviera and you won't be disappointed.

We stayed for a week in August and had a lovely time. The breakfast room at the top of the hotel has a fantastic view, and I still miss seeing it each morning. Across the road, the pool garden is quiet and private. It's about a half hour walk to central Garda, where you can catch ferries to other parts of the lake. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We loved it 😊

The views were out of this world, and the pool in its own private garden was lovely. Our room was cleaned every day, the food was amazing, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We had the best time and will definitely stay again.
