Ana and her husband are wonderful people. We hope to see them again soon. Their very old property has a lot of history and a great atmosphere.

A magnificent, one-of-a-kind place with lovely people, and a perfect base for exploring the beauty of the Friuli region.

A great place to stay.

The owners treated us to a generous breakfast of bread, jams, homemade cakes, and a lovely surprise, a stuffed omelette. My family and I spent one night in two connecting rooms, and the place brought back memories of our grandparents’ time. Even the wardrobes reminded me of the ones my grandmother had in the countryside. The room and garden both felt like they belonged to another era.

There’s a lovely garden and period furniture throughout this historic home, which has been restored with care and taste. The owners are warm and hospitable, and they sometimes host cultural events for small groups. The homemade cakes are excellent. It’s near the Stella River Natural Park, about 25 km from Lignano Sabbiadoro and the Marano Lagoon, 30 km from Roman Aquileia, and 10 km from Latisana train station. From there, Venice and Trieste are about an hour away by train.
