Cristall Hotel

We spent a few days here over New Year's Eve, and it was a great way to start 2026! The staff were very kind and helpful, and Mrs. Teresa was a wonderful host as well as an exceptional cook. The location was good too, just a few minutes from the center of Campo Felice, about a ten-minute drive away.

Being close to the city center was convenient, and the room was the one positive point. We were put on the second floor without being told there was no elevator. The room was so narrow we had to move sideways, the bed was short enough that our feet hung off, and the TV was tiny and awkwardly perched on a tall column between the window and bathroom door. A storm knocked out the power after dinner, leaving us in total darkness because there was no emergency light in the room. The pets policy says they're allowed, but NOT IN AUGUST. The corner shower was only 45 cm wide, with a plastic roller shutter that looked like it was from the 1950s, and the first time we used it, the handle screws flew out. Breakfast was modest, with almost no savory choices. The innkeeper didn't smile once during our two days there.

Teresa, the owner, deserves thanks for our stay. I spent three days trekking in the Abruzzo mountains with the D-PROJECT diabetic group. The hotel and food were excellent.

We stayed for several days and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was each day. Compliments to the chef, we enjoyed every dish, and there was a good selection of wine. Service was very friendly, which made up for rooms that weren't especially spacious and decor that felt a little dated. Everything we needed was there. The hotel is in a quiet village near the center, easy to reach, with parking on site. A place I'd recommend.
