Monolocali Relax

Rocca Imperiale itself was clean and quiet, with a lovely waterfront, gardens, and equipped areas for outdoor sports. That public setup is a clever, unusual idea. The village is quaint and nice for a walk or a visit to the castle. Still, when I stayed for a weekend in the last ten days of August, it felt rather dull and lifeless despite its potential. I also found the beach uncomfortable, with large pebbles, and the sea wasn’t nearly as clear or clean as I’d expected. The property was new, clean, and suitable for a couple, and the owner was kind and helpful. The studio has no kitchen or other dining facilities. On arrival we got daily coupons, one per person, for breakfast at one of three listed bars or cafes in the village. Each coupon covered a croissant and cappuccino, with a dessert and drink of your choice. Despite the owners’ and town’s good intentions, I don’t think I’ll return. It doesn’t feel worth the risk, and the total spent on the property and weekend was a little more than the service warranted.

Rocca Imperiale made for a truly relaxing holiday. The historic center is charming, and the sea nearby is clean, with sandy and pebbly beaches to choose from. The place was welcoming and well kept, and the food, seafood and traditional dishes alike, was excellent. Our studio apartment was spotless and had every comfort. Anna and Francesca were friendly and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The rooms were comfortable and welcoming, and the sea is very close. The owners were friendly and made us feel welcome. If you want a little break, I’d definitely recommend staying here. I’ll be back next summer.

The owner was so kind and helpful, and we could walk to the beach from the excellent location. We stayed in August and everything was perfect. We’ll definitely come back.
