Hotel Villa Medici

We had good food at the restaurant, with good prices. The hotel itself is lovely, and the staff were helpful and very accommodating.

The main reason we booked Villa Medici was the pool, but neither option worked for us. The outdoor pool was already closed even though it was still hot, and the indoor pool was part of the spa and restricted to people older than 14. We were traveling with our four-year-old, so we couldn’t use a pool at all. That was disappointing, though having a good apartment eased things a little. We came from overseas with lots of luggage and were grateful to get an amazing apartment, with an office where both my husband and I could get some work done during the trip. The room was spacious and clean, with a good-sized bathroom and a good shower. Breakfast was delicious, abundant, and full of options, one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had. We didn’t get to try lunch or dinner, but the menu looked amazing, and we hope to return in summer to enjoy the pool.

The location is the one real drawback, since there wasn’t anything nearby. We picked the hotel for its price and were amazed by the beautiful reception area and the lovely rooms set up for weddings and parties. We ate at the restaurant and Nico and Robert looked after us like royalty. The food was superb, and so was the recommended wine. We brought six bottles home. Our room was a little tired, but well appointed and clean, with everything working properly. It’s unlikely we’ll be in the area again, but if we are, we’ll definitely come back. This was the hotel we remembered from this year’s holiday.

The team is friendly, and the food tastes good 😋 Keep it up. 👍👍👍👍
