Zà Culetta

We came by bike and Mrs. Nicoletta greeted us right away with such simple kindness. She really pays attention to what people need, and takes the time to chat and listen. The food is honest and straightforward, made with produce from their own garden. This family-run farmhouse is tucked into quiet countryside, but it's handy for the trabocchi and inland villages, and close to the Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere. Definitely recommend it.

Even furry friends are welcome here. Nicoletta and Lucia are so warm and hospitable, and make you feel at home at this family-run agriturismo. The Abruzzo food is authentic and delicious, made with excellent ingredients.

The room and bathroom were clean, roomy, and tastefully done in an elegant rustic style. We had a lovely view of the Maiella and Gran Sasso mountains, and the staff were kind and helpful. The location is handy for the trabocchi districts and only a few kilometers from the sea. Breakfast was just adequate.

The place was full on August 15th, but when I called by chance, the lady was kind enough to find 2 places for us. We'd stopped to see the town and, given the time, to eat too. It's a wonderful, very rustic agriturismo, with divine, generous food, even though we didn't have fish, and excellent service. Big compliments. I don't think I'll be in this area again, but if I am, I'll definitely come back.
