We loved our second stay in this well-kept house. There’s enough room for two families, and the big terrace has plenty of shaded spots for eating outside. From the large pool, set beautifully into the landscape, you get open views over the Tuscan countryside toward Roccatederighi. The house also looks out toward the sea. The little picturesque village has grocery shops and some very good restaurants, especially "Da Nada," which we recommend. It’s a great fit if you want quiet and a real Tuscan feel away from the crowds. We enjoyed ourselves and expect to return.

We found the hosts very kind and full of useful suggestions. Even with the lovely weather, the beaches, towns, and wineries weren’t crowded. The house is in great shape, with a breathtaking view, and I’ve never known Tuscany to feel this peaceful. COVID rules were limited to wearing masks while shopping and in restaurants until you reached your table. People here seemed sensible and friendly as ever, and COVID-19 appeared to be under control. We’ll come back!

It’s our third visit, and we’re still loving each day here, especially the view over the pool and Maremma. The house has everything we need. A few interior doors are warped, though, and should be replaced, since opening them wakes everyone up.

Villa Guarda Mare is first-class, and so is Maremma. Beautiful, then even more beautiful, then the most beautiful. Great location, peace and quiet, everything you need, a lovely village, good food and wine, and the sea. The landlord is superb.

The summer pool is invaluable. This is a lovely holiday home in a very peaceful spot, with wonderful panoramic views.
