Camping Calabrisella

We planned to stay one night, but it turned into two. We had to move on after that, unfortunately. The campsite is beautiful and clean, right beside a well-maintained beach, and the sea was clean too. There are hot showers, and the warm-hearted owners take such good care of the place. We spent three quiet days here in low season, with just a few other visitors around. It’s a lovely family-run campsite with a great beach and friendly staff. The restaurant serves homemade food, and the fresh fish was especially delicious. Toilets were clean and the hot showers were spacious. Electricity was well set up, and every pitch had water and shade from either trees or nets.

We only stopped for the last two nights before the campsite closed for the season, and I doubt we’d have left otherwise. It’s a family-run place, carefully looked after under the pine trees, right on a beautiful sandy beach that goes on for miles in both directions. Everything was immaculate, and you can see how much care has gone into the facilities. Roberto and his family were kind and engaging, and Roberto made sure we had what we needed. We’d arrived exhausted by motorbike, camping without a table or chairs, and he found some for us to use. The restaurant was delicious too. Our best meal might have been the fresh tuna steak and salad. The chef is an artist! Such a fabulous feel to the place. We’ve nicknamed it Tuna Bay beach, and it’s already a favourite. Can’t recommend it enough. ❤️

Our deluxe pitch was just steps from the beach, and we caught the most magical sunrise. The hosts were so welcoming. We had a great one-night stop here while travelling around southern Italy and hope to come back soon. Thank you for having us!
