Il Cavallaro is a quiet place set among greenery, where you mostly hear cicadas and the sound of the waves. From the apartments upstairs, you can see the sea. The owners live in the little villa beside the pool, which guests can use. The two-room apartment had the comforts we needed, though there's no air conditioning, just a fan, and the mosquito nets are essential. Lido del Sole beach is a two-minute drive away, not really walkable. Rodi Garganico is about 5 km away and worth visiting. The place was clean, and I can't think of any real downside to the holiday.

The setting is lovely and peaceful, with olive and fig trees around, and the lady was very kind. But getting there means taking a tiny road with no lighting and just a sign saying "apartments for rent." We stayed on the second floor in August 2017, and the furniture was old. The dishes were old, dirty, and damaged, and the house itself wasn't clean. There was some intimate cleanser left behind by who knows who, and the shower mat smelled so awful we had to put it outside. It was extremely hot inside. The lady gave us a fan, but it didn't do enough. The pool is beside the lady's house, not by the rental property.

Our accommodation was clean, simple, and had an outdoor area. There's a lovely pool guests can use, and the beaches aren't far, with Rodi Garganico about 5 km away. The farm is among olive trees, so it's quiet, and the owners were friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it.

The accommodation just wasn't adequate. We couldn't get any sleep because the rooms were unbearably hot. The lady tried to help by bringing us a fan from the 1980s, but we still never got proper rest. She was very kind, though.

We had a really positive stay here with our four-legged friend. It's a simple, family-friendly place surrounded by nature, and the owners are kind and always ready to help. If simplicity is what you're after, this suits you.
