Residence Ducale

We arrived late at night and were welcomed warmly. The flat was clean, functional, and fine for a short stay, right in the center of Rodi Garganico. We only stayed one night, but it was hard to sleep: noise from the bar downstairs carried into the room because the sound insulation was poor, and in the morning there was too much light coming in without a shutter.

The room was simply furnished, clean, and had a very good bed, plus a beautiful sea view. There's a lovely cocktail bar outside nearby.

The location, parking, and air conditioning were worth four stars for me, but the comfort of the room we got would only merit two and a half. We were told on arrival that the French window was broken and couldn't be opened, so air only came in through the window and didn't really circulate. We couldn't use the balcony or hang out our swimsuits and beach towels. There were only three properly sized knives among the cutlery.

The strategic location was the main thing we liked. We spent three nights here, but weren't fully satisfied with the other amenities. The residence could have been cleaner. Maybe I'm being too particular, especially as I paid more than I would for a 4-star hotel, but I don't plan to return. We did enjoy the restaurants we visited.
