The villa itself is lovely, the food was excellent, and the staff were courteous. Still, after our stay I’m not sure I’d come back. We spent one night here with a Smartbox, my wife, and our two dogs, and the room we were given was in poor shape. It looked as though work might have been going on, though I couldn’t tell, and the property was full so we couldn’t move. The room was split across two floors, with the bedroom upstairs and the bathroom on the second floor. Its narrow spiral stairs and shaky, unguarded railings seemed dangerous to me. The bathroom was especially unpleasant. It looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests, and the toilet was very dirty. The small sink drained badly, and the water smelled so strong that I wondered if it was safe to drink. We ended up skipping the shower. Cleanliness generally left a lot to be desired. Breakfast was another problem. A group had eaten before us, but the tables hadn’t been cleared. No staff were in the room, so we had to manage on our own, with too few clean plates and glasses. We ate as best we could for more than half an hour, and no one came to help us or another couple there. Reception apologized afterward, and they didn’t charge the agreed extra fee for “sanitizing” the room after the dogs. The room we got may have been a little less “unlucky” than the others, which looked better. I can’t say whether the condition had anything to do with our Smartbox or the dogs, but I don’t think a room like that should be offered. I hope the other rooms are better. There were good things about the place, but I don’t think I’d have the nerve to return.
Breakfast was generous, with plenty of sweet and savory choices, and the staff were very kind and helpful throughout our one-night stay. We came with my girlfriend on a Smartbox package that covered dinner and breakfast as well as the room. They even offered free entry to the thermal baths 3 km away, though we didn’t have time to go. The room was simple but pleasant, and very clean, especially the bathroom. A few little decorative touches could make it feel warmer. Dinner came with a vegetable buffet and two à la carte courses per person. The food was homemade, but the quality wasn’t outstanding, and the preparation and cooking could use more care. That was the only real drawback at this lovely agriturismo. I’d gladly return and would recommend it.
The owner was so kind and helpful, and we had a very positive stay. My husband, our two children, and I spent one night here using a Smartbox. It’s a large property with lots of potential. We were welcomed with an aperitif, and got complimentary entry to the thermal baths a few kilometres away. Since we were the only guests, the owner left us dinner and small bottles of water for the night. The room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was a generous buffet. The only letdowns were the lack of Wi-Fi and the TV, which only got a few channels. If we’re passing through the area again, we’ll definitely stay here.
It’s a quiet spot with plenty of parking, handy for work or a short stay. The rooms are basic, but kept up well and have what you need, including an LED TV. Staff are friendly and attentive. The bar does aperitifs, coffee, and excellent craft beer. The cats are lively and affectionate. The dining rooms are plain and practical, and the menu is simple but generally good. You can’t ask for anything that isn’t listed. It’s doable.
