Apulia Hotel Roma

The location is remote, the staff's attitude was bad, and we couldn't cancel the reservation. The room listing said it would have either twin beds or a king-size bed, with no way to choose. More than half a month before arrival, I contacted the hotel to ask for twin beds. They asked for information, then disappeared without replying. Check-in took nearly twenty minutes. The two women at reception were loud and seemed not to care about anything or respect customers. They eventually said only king-size rooms were available. First they blamed me, saying I should have contacted them in advance if I had a request, and that otherwise they couldn't know what I needed. I told them I had reached out over half a month earlier and got no response. Then they said there were no twin rooms left and that I should have checked the rules before booking. I had checked them, which is why I contacted them in advance. In the end they offered no solution. Just a terrible experience.

The room and shower were in bad shape. The bathroom was dirty, the shower was broken, there was no hot water, and a hair dryer was missing. Towels left in the closet had been used by other guests, with hair and chips on them. We travelled over ten hours and then waited an hour and a half, with two small children. The two older women at reception didn't seem to know how to do their jobs. Breakfast was the worst we've ever had. I don't recommend this hotel!

We were very grateful for our stay and will definitely return. The staff made us feel at home, welcoming us warmly and treating us with the same kindness and respect as local guests. As foreign visitors, we didn't experience any discrimination, subtle or obvious, which unfortunately can happen in some places in Rome. The rooms were clean and well looked after, the air conditioning worked perfectly in the summer heat, and breakfast was delicious and more generous than we expected. The hotel isn't in the city center, but for the price it offers a lot. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews. If you want luxury service, you can choose a five-star hotel, but think about what you pay there compared with what you get here. To those who left harsh comments, did you consider the price and the service you received? This hotel gives more than you'd expect for what it costs, and a little gratitude goes a long way. For foreign travelers, especially those on a tighter budget, we highly recommend it. It's clean, welcoming, and offers real hospitality. Thanks to the staff for making us feel at home.

We had a great stay and felt it was good value for money. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and they brought fresh towels every day while keeping things very hygienic. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty with a good range of choices. You can easily get to the city center by taking the regional train.
