The homemade breakfast treats were a lovely touch, and the rooms were spotless. What stayed with me most was how warmly the family welcomed us and how much care they put into making guests feel at home. My wife and I felt completely at ease there. Hotel Gardenia isn’t just a standard hotel stop. I’d say it works just as well for a business trip as for a holiday.

Breakfast had a great mix of sweet and savory food, plus a proper espresso machine. As an American, I was glad to see drip coffee too. I wasn't sure whether there was air conditioning, but the hotel felt much cooler than it was outside. The place is very well kept, with older-looking doors and hallways alongside newer locks and energy-conscious appliances. The grounds made a great first impression, with flowers spilling over the balcony and hedges all around. It sits a little apart from everything, which had made me unsure about the location, but arriving there convinced me it was just right.

The view toward the Aosta valley was lovely, and I liked the location, the staff, and the cooking. The bed mattress and pillow were the letdown for me. Both felt too stiff and hard.
