I stayed one night and, after a series of miscommunications and poor management, missed my flight and lost $2,000. The whole operation felt like a disorganized side project rather than a hospitality business. There are two people running it, and a language barrier made it difficult to get clear information. I wasn't told when booking that payment was cash only unless certain conditions for card payment were met. The so-called manager, Alessia, never appeared in person; I only dealt with her by message. She repeatedly said the room was 90 euros, but didn't explain that full payment had to be in cash unless I went to a completely different property to pay by card. That was critical information to have beforehand. They manage two houses, about 20 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from each other. Only one has a card payment system, and it wasn't the one where I was staying. I was led to think I could pay partly in cash, but it was cash only or card only, with no combination. On the morning I was leaving, I had a minor accident and spent five minutes documenting it before heading out. That was later used to justify what happened. My chance to check in was at 9:20am. I should have gone straight to the airport for my 10:00 AM flight, but at 9:00 AM they drove me away from the airport to their other property to process the card payment. The detour and traffic took 40 minutes, and I missed the flight. When I called Alessia at 9:40 AM, boarding had already been denied. I couldn't believe they'd taken me away from the airport an hour before departure because of their own miscommunication. There was no apology or acknowledgment of their part in this costly mistake, only deflection and blame. If you're flying from the nearby airport, spend the extra $10-20 on a proper hotel closer by. The distance, disorganization and lack of professionalism here could cost you much more.
