Hotel Quadrifoglio by Mancini

We had enough towels and the parking had plenty of space, but the rest of this stay was awful. It was the worst hotel of our whole Italy trip. Some good reviews and a very good price convinced me to book, and I deeply regret the two nights there. There was a strange smell in the room all night, so I had to keep the window open almost constantly. The walls might as well have been cardboard. We heard everything the neighbors did, even laughing, and spent two nights hearing intimacies from other rooms. People banged doors, yelled, screamed, and laughed in the hallways all night, with absolutely no one to call for quiet or respect. Breakfast was acceptable, though nearly all of it was sweets like cakes and pastries. The hotel is very old and badly needs renovation. The entrance to our room had cracks everywhere, the bed was hard as a rock, and the room was dusty.

The first night was miserable, and the second was much the same. Check-in itself went fine, but our room was warm and the AC rattled loudly. The front desk said they controlled it and had the vent closed. When I asked them to open it, they told me to open the window because the night was supposed to be cool. I had to ask three times, and the room never cooled down. The king-sized bed was really two twins pushed together, extremely hard, and they kept separating all night. In the bathroom, the sink is directly over the toilet, so you have to wedge yourself in to use it. The second night, there was still no AC and the fire alarm went off. We gave up and are leaving the hotel.

The staff were wonderful, and the rooms were very clean, though old and dated. It’s fine for one night, but the area isn’t the best.
