Rome Marriott Park Hotel

We always look forward to coming back here when we visit Rome, almost as much as we look forward to the city. This time Ricardo greeted us in the lounge with real politeness and respect, then was just as kind and helpful when we saw him again at the breakfast buffet. It was lovely to reconnect with Massimo too. Somehow they make us feel at home and comfortable right away. We're already looking forward to returning later this month. Thank you, and well done!

The front desk and lobby bar team made me feel very welcome during my convenient one-night stopover. Mariano checked me in kindly and efficiently, explained the charges and other details, and proactively asked about my bed size preference. A lovely colleague also helped clarify breakfast information; I didn't get her name, but she was wonderful and kind. Keeth, I believe that was his name, though I may have the spelling wrong, was helpful, efficient, and kind at the lobby bar. Housekeeping and the person who answered my phone question about Wi-Fi were helpful too. Thank you to everyone.

The Park Hotel sits between Rome's center and FCO airport, making it a comfortable stop. It's removed from the sights, so you'll probably need a cab, shuttle, or train, but it also feels quiet and relaxed, wild boars included. The lobby is open, calm, and well kept. The food was consistently solid, and even small problems were handled smoothly and professionally. Beatrice, Giorgio, and Tiziano were especially helpful with logistics and conference room coordination during our extended stay. The staff are what made it stand out. At breakfast, Simone kept the omelet station moving with a positive attitude, even when mornings were busy. Danilo, Davide, Massimo, and Riccardo were attentive without hovering and seemed to stay a step ahead. Alice, Monika, and Sanaz were always warm at the restaurant entrance, early or late. Christian and Guillermo made the bar an easy place to unwind, with friendly conversation and good recommendations. Anastasia seemed serious at first, but turned out to be relaxed and personable.

This seems to be a place for people dealing with cancelled flights. It's around 15-20 minutes from the airport by car, but FAR from everything else. The hotel itself is pretty solid. Check-in was quick for us, with no line, though I can see it backing up since there are usually only two staff at the desk. The rooms look dated, but fortunately everything worked for us. The food was perfectly fine, though I wouldn't choose the hotel for a proper dining experience. Shout-out to manager DANILO and his staff for accommodating our family's dinner. Very good people.
