The host was great and the service was good.

The fridge and cupboards were stocked with local produce for breakfast, and the apartment was affordable. Getting into central Rome was easy with the transport links. A 100-minute metro ticket costs 1.50 euros and covers travel to the Vatican and all the major monuments. I took off a star for a few minor inconveniences and air conditioning that worked poorly. With the door closed, it only cooled one room.

It was a cozy apartment, though the breakfast we'd been promised wasn't really there. They promptly supplied toast and jam for four days, and that was all. The apartment itself was nice.
