My partner and I stayed at Rosburgo Sea Resort from 9/7/22 to 16/7/22 with our two medium-sized dogs. We had booked by phone with Mrs. Vittoria, asking clearly for plenty of space and a ground-floor apartment. She suggested a studio and sent photos, saying there was enough room for the dogs. I was concerned it looked small, and also that a studio usually means one room. Mrs. Vittoria assured me the bedroom was separate from the kitchen, saying they called it a studio because it had one bedroom rather than two. She also urged me to hurry because it was the last unit. I asked for a day to decide, then called again a few hours later for clarification. She said two other people wanted the room, and I told her that if she wanted to sell it, I couldn’t object. The next morning she called twice to press for an answer, and about an hour later I sent the bank transfer. On Friday we asked if we could check in before 3 pm. Mrs. Vittoria said firmly no, and her tone was already getting rude. We arrived Saturday the 9th around 5 pm, checked in, and paid in advance, which I’d never experienced before. The room we were given was a cramped 12/15 square meters, with no window. The only outside light came through the glass entrance door, partly blocked by the kitchen. I’m 193 cm and my partner is 180 cm, so with two dogs there was barely room to move. The supposed double bed was two separate bases with 60x180 mattresses pushed together, which kept sliding apart while we slept, so we could have fallen between them. I tried to raise the problem with Mrs. Vittoria, but she was annoyed and said she had to leave, the residence was full, and we could take it or leave it. I gave in and called reception to ask for supplies to wash the floor. Mr. Domenico brought them promptly and noticed I was disappointed. I explained what I needed and said perhaps we had misunderstood each other, but this wasn’t what we had discussed by phone, it was what she had initially described. A few hours later I told Mr. Domenico the refrigerator wasn’t working and I didn’t know what to do with the groceries I’d bought. He said he could move me to another apartment so everything would work, and there might even be a larger one with room for the dogs. Suddenly there were three apartments available, including one larger one, despite having been told everything was booked. We agreed we’d move the next day because of the broken fridge and the apparent misunderstanding. On Sunday morning, Mr. Domenico got in touch to say he couldn’t change our room after all, and the fridge would be repaired Monday afternoon. Our week’s groceries were wasted, there was no alternative, and apparently that was that. Later he asked us to come to reception to talk things through with Mrs. Vittoria, and we agreed, hoping to relax and enjoy our holiday. Instead, she verbally attacked us, accusing us of not knowing how to read emails and even saying she would have paid for our vacation because we didn’t have the money. I’m still waiting for that bank transfer 😂😂😂. Mr. Domenico Maddaloni was the one person who kept trying to find a solution.
