The ride down from Livorno on those winding country roads might put you off, but it’s absolutely worth it. We found a wonderful place in a stunning landscape, and breakfast was fantastic, with homemade jams and local cheeses.

There’s a small restaurant and a pool here, and the valley views are stunning. This peaceful agriturismo sits in the hills southeast of Livorno. We stayed in a charming converted building that was accessible. Big supermarkets are in Livorno, with small village shops nearby.
