Hotel Bagni Lido

This was our second year at this wonderful hotel by the beach. The bright, airy rooms have super comfortable beds, and the staff couldn't be friendlier. Special thanks to Luigi, who insisted on driving us to Rosignano station when we left. If you're visiting Vada, I'd promise you won't be disappointed. This place ticks all the boxes.

The village location is the best, and the staff are kind. I recommend staying here, but I'd consider eating elsewhere. The restaurant has several problems: it takes cash or Italian bancomat cards, not Visa or Mastercard, and the bruschetta was just raw bread with tomatoes, without the cooked ingredients or onion flavour I expected from the traditional Italian version. It felt like a waste of money and an insult to Italian cuisine. Breakfast included one plate for two, with uneven portions of sliced salami, cheese, and prosciutto. Nothing before our stay said my fiancée and I had to share one plate. When the older man in charge of the restaurant took the plate from my hands, this would have been a five-star review if he hadn't. I'm sorry if I've misunderstood him, but he seemed unable to manage things, and management should address it. The receptionist said we could have breakfast outside on the private beach. But the man in charge didn't prepare the tables and gave the reason that it wasn't possible before June, even though we'd had dinner there the night before. His attitude made it seem he didn't care about anything.

Dinner service at Bagni Lido was very bad. The four of us were served about 30 minutes apart, and when we complained, nobody apologized or hurried things along. In the kitchen, the waitress nearly got into a fistfight with the cook. If you want a pleasant evening, don't go here.

A unique place, not quite a B&B and not quite a hotel, but really lovely. It was very clean and friendly, and the typical continental breakfast was nice. I'd go back next time I'm in Rome.
