Residence Borgo Verde

We had to cancel our stay because two dogs aren't allowed. That was surprising, since earlier reviews suggest people had stayed with two dogs before. The policy doesn't seem to be communicated clearly or consistently.

We had a dog with us, and the staff kindly gave us a larger apartment with a garden for him. The apartment was very well equipped and had everything we needed, and the staff were extremely kind. The pool looked nice, but the posted hours said it opened at 9 while the actual hours were 10 to 18, so we couldn't use it. Recommended!

There was a terrible smell as soon as we entered, and it stayed with us the whole visit. It was so bad that we all felt sick, and by morning everyone had sore throats, likely because of something in the air. The floors were filthy, my socks turned brown within minutes, and dead insects of different kinds were in several corners. It was clear the house hadn't had a proper clean in a long time. The furniture and kitchenware felt very outdated and cheap, as if nobody cared about maintaining or updating anything. Outside was just as neglected: the advertised activities were run down and dirty. I rarely leave a bad review, but this place was unacceptable. It badly needs a deep clean, serious maintenance, and basic care. It wasn't worth the money or the experience, and I absolutely wouldn't recommend it.

We were the first guests in this new villa, named after the owner's mother. Chiara was attentive and the staff were always responsive, which made our stay pleasant. The place was spotlessly clean, with a lovely selection of comfortable pillows and all the dishes and other things needed for a relaxing stay. You're the best! We'll be back soon. Respectfully, Lilia and her family!
