Castiglioncello itself has a lovely feel, and this place does too. It’s peaceful around the pool, where kids can splash and play, though it isn’t a waterpark and people are expected to be considerate. The sea is about a 10-minute walk away, while the grocery store takes closer to 20 minutes. Each apartment has its own patio with a grill, table, chairs, and parasol. There’s plenty of room inside, plus a large fridge if you’re stocking up on food. The woman at reception was kind and welcoming, spoke very good English, and helped with taxi bookings and suggestions for places to visit.

The place was fantastic, and we had a lovely stay. Our apartment was clean and nice, and the pool was good. Valentina was so kind and sweet. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a great base for getting around. Beaches are less than 10 minutes away, with a couple of good restaurants and food shops nearby. We took trains from Castiglioncello and Rosignano to Livorno and Pisa. Booking through Trainline was easy, and fares were very cheap. The local buses, including the 102, were just as easy for trips further along the coast, with tap-on, tap-off contactless payment so there was no need to buy tickets ahead or carry cash. Apartment 4.5 looked out over the pool, and we had a fabulous time there. Valentina gave us a friendly, helpful welcome and supported us throughout our stay. Everything was clean and tidy, and the pool and gardens were very well maintained. We also made use of the barbecue facilities a couple of evenings.

There are several buildings here, each with up to five apartments, and the equipment in ours was good enough. A few things were missing, but nothing too serious. The pool and several grill areas were nice to have. It’s a pretty good holiday spot, and I’d consider coming back.

Castaglincello still has that La dolce vita feel. These modern, airy apartments have air conditioning and are close to the sea, with some great restaurants and bakeries an easy walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there’s a swimming pool too.
