The place itself was really clean, but the manager's behavior made this a terrible stay. We had agreed on a check-in time days ahead. Then, 40 min before we arrived, he messaged to say he wouldn't be there. We were on a train without signal, and getting it back was difficult since we were abroad and the signal sometimes failed. So we followed the original plan, arrived on time, and rang the bell. The manager never came by during our stay, but blamed us for ringing, said he hadn't allowed it, and insisted it was impossible that our phones had no signal. He didn't give us a chance to explain. He said ringing broke the rules, though those rules weren't listed on Booking, Google, or at the property. It made us feel awful. If this is your business, give clear instructions or be there for your guests. He also asked us to send photos of our ID cards through WhatsApp. I'm not sure that's legal, and I regret doing it. We had booked a “room with private balcony,” but the balcony was shared and only reachable through the common area. The blind was blocked on purpose so we couldn't get out to it from the room. We'd never been treated like this at any accommodation. After I posted this review, the owner texted my husband to warn him about me, man to man. Hilarious.

We visited on December 27-28, 2025, and would gladly return. The room was clean, the amenities were good, and the owner was very kind.

The owner was kind and helpful, and the B&B has a reserved parking spot. It's near the station and a stone's throw from Corso Vittorio Veneto, so we could walk around and see the artistic lights. The location is great if you like walking. The lights were a letdown for me, though, mostly just a display for a patron saint's day. Piazza Gioia was the exception, truly beautiful, and I'd love to see it again. We had lunch at the Deli bar and that was a good choice too. If I return to Salerno, I'd make the same choices, and I hope the artistic lights regain their former splendor. Thank you.

The area was quiet, even for late-night walks, and the location was close to the center while still accessible by car. The rooms were cozy and very clean, and the host was super helpful.
