The rooms are central and cool, and the posters are nice.

That big wooden gate made me feel like I was stepping into Game of Thrones every time I came in. Desiderio Guest House is in an impressive old building with lots of character, and the place was spotless and very well looked after. You can tell the owners put care into managing it. Our host was lovely, easy to reach, and quick to answer both calls and messages whenever we asked for anything. She even offered us a late check-out, which we really appreciated while traveling. I thought the quality for the price was very good for Salerno. It's an authentic, comfortable, welcoming place, and I'd definitely stay here again if I'm back in town. Highly recommend it.

My room was basically a made-over basement space with no windows, which is unacceptable. I couldn't get an answer to my parking question either. The Duomo parking garage is only a couple of minutes away, but it's hard to find. The whole experience felt impersonal.
