In Via Roma

The first thing to know is that this is a room inside the host’s home. To reach it, you have to pass through the kitchen and TV room, and you can hear the TV from your room. The bed is nearly as low as a futon and uncomfortable; I woke up with a stiff back every morning. There are personal belongings all over the room. The views are of either a yard full of rubbish or a noisy restaurant. The shower is old and yellowing, and the whole setup feels like it might fall apart. Breakfast came on plastic plates, with plastic cups and cutlery. Everything was packaged and highly processed, and there was nothing fresh, not even a bread roll.

Paola made our stay so enjoyable. She was warm, kind, and welcoming, treated us wonderfully, and helped with transport suggestions. She was always glad to answer our questions. She even asks what time you want breakfast and can order it, and will change the towels if you’d like. We’re very grateful to her and hope to return soon. The location is especially convenient if you’re exploring the Amalfi Coast, with lots of bars and restaurants to choose from nearby.

Paola is so generous and welcoming, a real ray of sunshine. She’s a wonderful person and does everything she can to make your stay pleasant. The room and private bathroom are lovely and very clean, and the bed is really comfortable. Thank you for everything. I’m so glad I met you, and I won’t forget you!
