Hotel Plaza

We changed plans at the last minute and needed a room in Salerno for one night. We found this hotel online at a great price. The room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed and a shower bigger than most we've had in Italy. Although it's right across from the train station, we didn't hear a single train, and the room was quiet. The ferry terminal, shops, and restaurants are also close by. Front desk staff were really nice and helpful.

It's only 40m from the station, as the photo below shows, and unlike a lot of hotels near stations, this one is really nice. The staff were amazing, friendly, attentive, and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms are both large and spacious. The breakfast room has a nice feel, with attention to the ambience and design. There was a wide selection of food and great coffee.

The rooms are a little basic, but the hotel is very clean, quiet, and comfortable, with reasonable rates. It's a small, well-established place in a central spot, handy for the train station, restaurants, ferry terminal, and city center. The front desk and breakfast staff were wonderful and helped make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. Breakfast had a large selection of excellent food and coffee. I'd happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

The staff were friendly and polite, and quick to help whenever we needed something. Breakfast was buffet style, with a wide choice of sweet and savory food, good coffee, and attentive staff. The hotel is well placed for buses, ferries, and the Lubgomare. Even though it's on the square opposite the train station, it was quiet. Our room was spacious, the bathroom well designed, and we appreciated that it was cleaned so well every day. We didn't need the air conditioning.
