The balcony has a nice view, and the place is clean. You’re right in the middle of everything, with the sea about 100 meters away and parking in a garage roughly 200 meters away. Stazione Marittima di Salerno, with boats to Amalfi, Positano, and Capri, is a 15-minute walk.

The bathroom was small, but it was fine.

The place we were given felt old and depressing, and the bathrooms were awful. In the smaller one, you practically had to go in already soapy to wash properly. In the other, sitting on the toilet meant bumping your teeth on the sink. I feel cheated. Watch out, there are two Velia apartments. One has been renovated, but the one they rented to us was ugly and outdated. We had been told ours would have two bathrooms and two bedrooms with double beds.

The location is good, and the little studio is cute, but I really can't recommend staying there. The bathroom sink was blocked and the towel rail was broken. Cooking was a struggle: the kitchen supplies were cheap and sparse, the tiny coffee maker made only half a cup, and there was no toaster or microwave. The electric hob didn't work properly with all the pots and kettles, either. The bedside outlet was broken and felt dangerous, and the TV didn't work. The fridge had no ice maker, and the copper-colored faux leather mattress made my back sweat. No one meets you in person, either, everything is arranged through WhatsApp. For a few days in Salerno, I'd look elsewhere. You don't want to deal with this kind of thing on vacation.
