Agriturismo Casale San Giovanni

We came for a Prima Comunione and found the whole visit pleasant. Service was good, there was plenty of comfortable space, and the meal had a decent range of traditional dishes. We enjoyed the antipasti, including baked mussels, stuffed peppers, savory vegetable pies, and eggplant parmigiana. The food was simple and nicely prepared. The property is charming and well cared for, with a large dining room and a little chapel on site. It also feels wonderfully quiet, away from traffic and noise, so you can take your time. The only small letdown was that decaf coffee wasn't available. It seems like a good setting for family events such as prime comunioni, battesimi, or cresime, especially if you want a peaceful spot in the countryside.

The pool is amazing, but hotel guests don't get reserved seats, and locals can use it on weekends. We found it overpriced for what was offered, and the place has a lot of potential that isn't being used. It carries the agriturismo logo, but doesn't produce or grow anything. Breakfast was poor, the hotel doesn't speak English, and some facilities didn't always work. For now, we wouldn't recommend it. I hope the hotel takes these comments into account and makes improvements.

The pool was nice. The food, not really.

Pretty good.
