Hotel Pandos

Everything was clean, and the staff were very welcoming. It’s a bit far from the activities, but the setting is beautiful and peaceful.

We told the staff we would arrive at midnight, during a heat wave, but they hadn’t turned on the air conditioning, not even for two hours. The room was well over 30 degrees. When I asked, they said, “we didn't know what you wanted”. I needed a sheet at 4 o'clock, and by 6 it was comfortable. I got four hours of sleep. It seemed like an energy saving policy, and a bad choice in my view. The next day we switched from our suite to a small room because the air conditioning units only seemed suited to that size. The unit there wasn’t working properly, so I checked the filters. They had a thick layer of dust, clearly causing the problem. I’d never seen that much dirt on filters, and I clean mine twice a year. I showed them at reception, thinking they’d appreciate the information. They said, “we clean them every month, but it's not yet the end of the month”. If that were true, I’d have to clean mine every five days! They make some silly choices and don’t seem to like feedback. Too bad.

The staff are great and go out of their way to help.

The food was excellent, and the family run staff were so friendly and welcoming that it felt like staying with family. I was there for a week and would highly recommend it.
