Antico Podere Propano

The hotel room was neat and the breakfast was fine. When the sky is clear, you can see the mountains. I had a really nice experience at antico podere propano last week and would absolutely recommend staying here if you’re in the area. The GPS pin sent us to the garage next door instead of the hotel, and the room wifi dropped out now and then.

I came back recently for a few nights after staying here for six months in 2016. Everything’s still in great shape, the heating works, and the food is as delicious as I remembered, with a gluten-free option. Remember to bring a switch for the electricity, though, as you need one all over Italy.

The old building has been renovated and has a lovely atmosphere. You can choose the hotel service or the agriturismo option, which doesn’t include breakfast and has rooms without air conditioning, though they’re clean and good. The thick walls keep the heat from being a problem even in summer. There’s a large parking area, the staff are very friendly, they speak English, and they even try to meet special requests. Saluzzo is a pleasant little town in Piemont near the mountains, with a lovely historic center and plenty of good restaurants serving Italian specialties. It isn’t crowded with tourists, so you get to see ordinary Italian life. It’s a good base for cycling or hiking in the Alpes. A very nice, customer-friendly place, with no drawbacks for me.

It’s on the edge of Saluzzo, but you can walk everywhere from here. The hotel is clean, breakfast is okay, and I’d recommend it.
