2058 Lido Marini Rooms - Double

I accidentally booked through Airbnb, then cancelled right away when I saw I’d already booked on Booking.com. The host began attacking and threatening me, and seemed completely out of control. Sadly, they won’t let me post all the chats.

The setting is beautiful and close to the sea. When our flight was cancelled, the manager quickly found us somewhere else to stay. Such a kind person. I highly recommend it. Magnificent!

The solarium is shared and has a large bed, chairs, drying racks, and mosquito nets. The location also makes it easy to reach several seaside spots. Still, the stay had some real problems. We found the sheets stained in several places, and when we raised it, they blamed the laundry without offering fresh ones or any other fix. The bathroom light was broken; they said it would be replaced the next day, but it never was. The shower was broken too, and the water pressure was so weak that washing was difficult. The toilet seat and bidet were dirty. The room and the surrounding area were genuinely beautiful, but the many issues made the lack of care hard to miss. With a €5 per person, per night service charge, I expected more attention to these things.

Chiara greeted us at reception so warmly and was very helpful. The woman looking after breakfast and room cleaning was just as kind, and we felt completely at home. Hotel Roma was a lovely find, charming and well cared for. The rooms are comfortable, very clean, and have what you need. They open onto a terrace with tables and chairs for breakfast or just sitting out during the day. Recommended.
