The peace here was wonderful, even at night, and the fantastic weather let us eat outside for every meal. The garden is lovely, fenced, and shaded by palms and other plants. It mattered a lot to us that our dog and kids could wander safely. The house has a seaside feel and is roomy, simple, and well equipped, with an oven, big fridge, washing machine, clotheslines, comfortable beds, and a large table and chairs indoors and out. We loved dining among the plants while listening to the cicadas. The gated estate has other apartments too, but felt safe and suitable for children. There's a little playground under the olive trees right next to the apartment, and we got to feed the many baby turtles each day. Parking beside the house is free. Some of the prettiest Ionian beaches are just a 5-10 minute drive away, with Santa Maria di Leuca about 20 minutes away and Gallipoli around half an hour away. The host was always available and helpful, and even gave us delicious fresh vegetables from his garden. We'll remember his friendly dogs and the swallows that came to visit now and then. We'll take home lovely memories. Recommended for a truly relaxing holiday!

The days slipped by between easy conversations, spectacular sunsets, and the sound of cicadas. From the moment we arrived, Marco made us feel part of the family, as if we were at home without any effort. Every corner of A casa di amici has a simple, welcoming feel. Set in the Salento countryside, the house is surrounded by Mediterranean scents and a lovingly cared-for garden. Marco and his family share delicious, genuine produce from the land. It feels like a warm, authentic embrace, a quiet haven where time slows down and the small things matter. It was hard to return to everyday life after that deep quiet and genuine serenity. A casa di amici has stayed close to my heart, and I already want to go back as soon as I can. An unforgettable experience.

The green setting and all the comforts made it easy to switch off, and the most beautiful beaches in Salento are only a short distance away. The owners and managers gave us a warm welcome and were attentive whenever we needed help. We’ll come back, and we’re already thinking of sharing the place with close friends.

The owners are so helpful, and the place has the relaxed, family feel we wanted. The sea is only a few minutes away, yet it’s peaceful here. The name, “At a friend's house,” really fits: we felt at home as soon as we arrived.
