Hotel Bergamo Mare Mhotelsgroup

The hotel feels old-fashioned, but it’s warm and welcoming, and the beach is only a five-minute walk away. The staff were wonderful, especially in the kitchen and bar, and kept us laughing. We made lovely friends during our stay and will definitely visit again.

I’m absolutely disgusted that this dreadful place is still in business. The rooms were dirty, the staff unfriendly and hard to find, and the decor dull and drab. When staff did appear, they were hardly friendly. The food was horrible, and the dining room chairs sat us far too low to reach the tables properly. People in local cafes raised their eyebrows when we mentioned where we were staying. The coach tours were overpriced if this is the best place they can put their customers. There was only a poor set menu, no buffet choice. The room had no air conditioning, fridge, or tea-making facilities, and bar service stopped at 10pm. I’d rate it zero stars.

The beach is close by, and the pool is pleasant. Breakfast was enjoyable and had a good range by Italian standards. It’s an old-fashioned, dated hotel, and the rooms are weathered, though clean and well kept. For its age, though, it feels very overpriced.

We had a really great time here. The food was very good with plenty of variety, and the clean pool was just the right temperature. Our comfortable room was spotless, and all the staff were friendly and ready to help. We’ll definitely come again.
