Hotel Bernard

Top in every way!

The beach service was good, and the pool and surrounding area were well kept. Breakfast was top notch, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The service was excellent, and the location is great, just steps from the seafront. The rooms were okay, though I’d expected more based on the website description. Parking is awkward: it’s 500 meters from the hotel, and you have to cross two busy roads.

We spent Ferragosto at Hotel Bernard and had a very positive stay. Dinner was good, and we appreciated the care taken to avoid waste. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, with several choices served at the table. Davide and Christian deserve a special mention for being helpful and attentive to our gluten-free needs. The mostly young staff were welcoming and helpful, though occasionally a little less attentive. The room could use some improvement: the furnishings felt dated, and there were small patches of mold by the shower drain. If the bathroom door stayed closed, it developed a slight musty smell.

The welcome was incredibly kind and attentive, more care for guests than I’ve even had at a five-star hotel. When I left, I was given a gift, and it truly moved me. I had a wonderful three-day stay. Breakfast was fantastic, with local foods and delicious homemade cakes. My room was a little small and had limited closet space, but it was equipped with every comfort. The mattress was ultra-comfortable, and the pillows came in different thicknesses.
