Majestic Suite

The Majestic Suite is handy for both the train station and the center, and the seafront is only a 10-minute walk away. The receptionist was friendly and ready to help with anything we needed. The apartment wasn’t very clean, especially inside the kitchen cabinets and closets, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all.

We arrived to find that a set of towels cost an extra €15. Housekeeping was absent: the toilet leaked and left stains on the floor, and the kitchen didn’t even have the basic essentials. After the first day, we asked a staff member whether someone could come clean the room because of its condition. She said yes, but the next day it still hadn’t been cleaned, even though she insisted it had. There’s no breakfast on Saturdays or Sundays, and on Monday the staff member had an unexpected errand, so we missed breakfast that day too. A terrible experience, and I have photos.

Breakfast was fine, and the central spot is fairly close to the sea, but there was little else to like. The kitchenette and table were cramped, with barely room for one at the table. Changing the sheets costs €14, and cleaning isn’t included apart from at the end of the stay. That final cleaning was sloppy, as the dirt we found made clear. There wasn’t even a dustpan to sweep up. The toilet seat was broken; I reported it several times, and although they said a maintenance worker would come, nobody showed. The air conditioning also doesn’t work properly. Given how dirty and run-down the place is, with cheap fixtures, I’d say the filters haven’t been changed since the 15th/18th.

The staff were kind and always helpful. It’s a great option right in the center, close to the sea, shops, and supermarkets, and there’s a chance to get a covered parking spot nearby.
