Marconi

We liked having free parking on site, and it was an easy walk to several restaurants and bars. The town center and museums were about a six-minute drive away. Our adjoining rooms were clean and spacious enough for our family of four. Breakfast was included, with delicious sweet and savory options every day. The whole staff were attentive, friendly, and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Marconi and will visit again when we get the chance.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very clean and relaxing. Our superior room was spacious and well furnished, with WiFi, satellite TV, a balcony, and a private bathroom with a window, plus a hot tub. The hotel is only a few meters from the beach and close to the center of San Benedetto. It has a large parking area next to the building, a pool, gym, sauna, and private beach with chairs and an umbrella, all included in the price. Absolutely recommended!

The pool was a plus, and breakfast was decent, even if nothing special. Most of the staff were friendly too. But the hotel felt like poor value: the amenities are dated, the rooms are small, and the beds aren't very comfortable. It's near the beach, though not right on the seafront. Staff started making noise while cleaning rooms from 8 a.m., so sleeping in was out of the question.

We left after two nights and cancelled the last night of our three-night stay. It was one of our worst hotel experiences so far. The walls were so thin we could hear the neighbors talking and showering as if they were in our room, and it woke us several times overnight. The beds and pillows were painfully hard. Also, after 6 p.m. there was no hot water in the shower, just when we got back from the beach and needed to get ready for dinner.
