Villa Angela

We were promised a sea-view villa, but ended up in a basement room with no window or view, just little skylights behind wire mesh. It smelled musty, the bathroom fan ran constantly, and there was no internet or phone signal. Nobody was around during our stay, either. Getting to the beach meant a 30-minute walk up a steep incline. Breakfast wasn't included, only a voucher for a drink and croissant at a café. So much for the bed and breakfast promise. Avoid at all costs.

How can a reservation that's already been received and paid for be canceled with no penalty? To me, that shows a lack of seriousness and makes users wonder whether the dealings between host and customer are fair.

The rooms and bathrooms are generously sized, with quality finishes, furniture, and accessories. The B&B is in a lovely, elegant manor house, though it's a little outside the town center, up on the hill behind it. There are also too many architectural barriers for me to call the place accessible.

We spent three nights in a room under the stairs with no lights and no air conditioning, except for the AC. It was never cleaned, and neither the sheets nor towels were changed. For a double bed, they gave us just one blanket. We got two breakfast vouchers on the first day, none the next, and on the third day had to ask the owner, who'd promised a refund. After that, we never saw anyone again. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
