Hotel & Residence Rainer Eggele

The family who runs this hotel and the staff were so kind and helpful, that was the standout for me. I came for a ski holiday in January, and the rooms were large and clean. When I left, I knew I’d want to come back.

We started skiing with Hermann at 10:10am and were done at 12:20pm, but at checkout the owner insisted it had been three hours at €70 an hour. We had agreed on two hours maximum. I told him that, but he ignored me and said we had to pay for three. He’d offered to ski with us, and we’d said okay. On the slopes, he didn’t teach us much and took us far around the area just to use up his time. The runs he took us on were way beyond our ability, which didn’t seem to concern him. It was the worst skiing experience. We’d already stayed, eaten and drunk there, but it seemed he still wanted more money. We’d never go back because of an owner that greedy. He was very friendly when we arrived. The food was average, and we drank there every night; he also offered us local schnapps. Thanks, but you won’t see us again.

The staff were very kind and good at taking care of what guests needed. It’s a lovely family hotel with spacious rooms. We didn’t have time to try the sauna or pool, unfortunately.

We really enjoyed Eggele Hotel. The wellness area had very new-looking saunas and an outdoor hot tub. It was clean and comfortable, though it would be nice to have an outdoor cold plunge tank as well. The hotel itself felt peaceful, with care given to all the details. Our apartment, offered as an alternative to a hotel room, was fully equipped, extremely clean and had a beautiful view. The apartments are right next to the hotel, about a minute’s walk. Breakfast was tasty, with fresh varieties of bread, freshly squeezed juices and all kinds of eggs made to order. Thanks for a very pleasant winter holiday.
