Casa Pizzinelli

The house and its objects all tell stories, from the jewelry and antique wedding dress to the furnishings and newspapers from the 1900s. It’s truly one of a kind. Casa Pizzinelli is in the historic center of San Casciano, and even before we went inside, the grand old house made us feel transported to another time. Inside, it sparked the imagination, like being a guest from a different era. Giulio and Martina spoke about the house with real love and passion, and clearly work hard to make guests comfortable. We felt at home and cared for in every little detail. It’s not a place for everyone, but anyone looking for an authentic experience may get even more than expected. Thank you for everything. We only stayed one night at this charming B&B in San Casciano dei Bagni, but Giulio and Martina’s warm welcome and helpfulness made it memorable. Giulio and Martina made us feel right at home during our week here. They’ve kept the old charm of this beautiful home, preserving it from bland modern updates while still providing today’s comforts. They’re both very special people, and their welcome made the stay.

The breakfast was excellent, from the cappuccino and croissants to the fruit and cookies. Our simple double room was comfortable and suited the historic home. Giulio, the young owner, was kind, courteous, and friendly, and gave us a proper tour of his house. There are so many rooms and interesting things to see that the place feels like a museum in its own right. The furnishings reach back to the late 19th and early 20th century. I had a wonderful time, especially since many objects reminded me of my grandmother’s house. I recommend it to anyone hoping to spend a night in an authentic traditional setting.
