The rooms are fine and the location is nice, but the internet was a problem. The Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable, and mobile data coverage on Orange was similar, so it may not suit you if you need a strong connection. We weren’t given soap or toilet paper, so bring your own. The pillows are very, very thin, which is worth knowing if you have trouble sleeping. Geckos come into the rooms at night, which could be uncomfortable if you’re afraid of them. Also, the towels are very small, and no large towel was provided.

We’ve stayed here several times and think the accommodation is lovely. The owners are charming and very helpful, and I’d highly recommend the place. I understand they’re installing air conditioning for next season, which will make it even better.

We spent two weeks here in May. The rooms were very clean, the host was friendly, and the location was excellent, with everything we needed. The accommodation is spacious and there’s a lovely pool, though the water was a bit cold at that time of year. One small complaint: the garden furniture was very old plastic. They said it would be replaced soon after we mentioned it. The owner grows her own certified organic Chianti Classico, which was delicious, so make sure to book a wine tasting. Definitely worth booking.

The nearby town has everything you need, including a well-stocked supermarket and a smaller shop with even more premium local products. Florence is 20 minutes away, Pisa an hour, and Siena about an hour via the legendary Chianti wine route. You could also ask about a vineyard tour. At the agriturismo, a couple make excellent wine and olive oil, lovely with warm bread. The pool is a welcome break from the summer heat, though you share it with another family. There’s plenty of Tuscan charm here, from cypress trees and olive groves to sunshine and wine.
