Really clean, new furnishings, and kind staff. Highly recommend!

The owners were kind and polite, and the room was cleaned regularly. It’s a charming place with small, cozy rooms. I did have to be careful in the bathroom because one side had no glass door, so water could get onto the toilet. Breakfast could use an update. What bothered me most was the three cats in the breakfast room and on my room’s windowsill. They shed fur, and I had sleepless nights because asthma from an allergy to the saliva they use to groom themselves was triggered.

The countryside setting is peaceful, and San Daniele del Friuli is only about a ten-minute drive away. The hostess was welcoming and very kind. The property is well kept, with a large garden, porch, pool, and parking, while the rooms are spacious, clean, and each has a private bathroom. Breakfast is plentiful, with sweet and savory options, and the value for money is excellent. I also appreciated being able to pay in cash. She always issues an invoice, and I’m not keen on electronic payments.

At L’Antico Borgo di San Daniele del Friuli, the welcoming historic atmosphere makes for a lovely meal. In the Aonedis area, this restaurant brings together Friulian traditions and hospitality, with fresh, quality ingredients and friendly service. It’s a fine place to try Prosciutto di San Daniele and other traditional Friulian dishes, in elegant surroundings. A good fit for a romantic dinner or for discovering the region’s authentic flavors, and one of Friuli Venezia Giulia’s best-known gastronomic spots.
