Agriturismo Poggio del Sole

We already have another date in mind and can't wait to see everyone again. This was another lovely stay with Tommaso and his family, and the four of us were looked after so well. After all these visits, our families have formed a special bond. We're especially grateful for the hospitality of Tommaso, Daniela, and Daniela, as well as his sweet sister and her wonderful children. Poggio del Sole has a beautiful setting, and Umbria itself feels like a dream, with such an authentic glimpse of Italian life. Warm wishes from Franconia, see you soon! Daniel and Miriam

The rain meant we missed out on that spectacular view, but the evening was still a complete success. We celebrated my daughter's baptism at Poggio, and the dinner was wonderful, with every dish full of flavor. The whole staff did a fantastic job. Our guests had so many compliments, and quite a few asked us for contact details so they could come back. We'll certainly return soon!

For a trip around the heart of Italy, this is a great base. The agriturismo is simple and genuine, just as it should be, and Tommaso is both a welcoming host and a skilled cook of traditional food. We really recommend having dinner there. The portions are generous and everything tastes great.

San Gemini, with its old-world charm, and the archaeological excavations are both nearby. From the Agriturismo Poggio del Sole, the views are lovely on both sides, and the garden pool looked inviting, though we didn't try it. Our room was clean and a good size, with a great shower. The host was incredibly nice and gave us all the information we needed. Dinner was delicious too. We had a very pleasant stay and thought it was good value.
