Fattoria Di Pancole

Sandra welcomed us warmly when we arrived early from Florence, where we'd spent the previous two nights. My wife and I were spending three days of our honeymoon at Fattoria di Pancole, and were happy to find the grounds so well kept. Our second floor apartment was large and immaculate, with lovely views of the Tuscan countryside, close to the historic village of San Gimignano. We also took a thorough tour of the family's organic vineyard. Lorenzo led the wine tasting with real pride in the family's tradition and commitment to quality. You could see his passion in the work, and he was genuinely interested in what we thought of each of the seven wines. We ordered a mixed case and can't wait to share it when we get home. We're halfway through our stay now and having a lovely time. What a special family and place.

We were 11 family members on a sort of vacation in the first week of October 2017, spread across five apartments. Each apartment felt a bit different, with its own views and slightly different amenities, but they were all comfortable and roomy. Check-in was before 6:00 pm. We arrived late, let them know, and another person in our group picked up the key for us. I'd still suggest arriving on time, since each apartment is different and a bit of an orientation would have helped. The views are breathtaking, and the location made it easy to visit other attractions. The friendly service added to a wonderful stay. We also paid extra for the wine tour, which was really informative. Julia took great care of us during the tasting, serving Tuscan cheese, meats, and breads. It was lovely.

We return every year for the lovely people, great pool, and gorgeous views. It's only a few kilometres from San Gimignano, and makes a handy base for Florence, Lucca, Sienna, Pisa, and the Chianti Region. The wine and olive oil are great too, and you can choose a full wine tour or just a tasting. A perfect place to get away.
