The rooms are lovely, the restaurant is really nice, and the setting is beautiful. We chose this place for our honeymoon because it was advertised as an adults-only, peaceful retreat, so we were looking forward to a relaxing stay. On our last full day, several very young children were screaming and splashing around the pool, and there were far more people there than the number of rooms. We later learned external guests could use the pool, which wasn’t made clear when booking and felt misleading if you expect a private experience. Some tourists having lunch at the restaurant also went into the pool area for photos, while a few people wandered through the restaurant to photograph the view without dining. It felt inappropriate. The adults-only reference has since been removed from several websites, but that didn’t help us as guests at the time. We raised our concerns during the stay, but nothing was done then. At checkout, they comped a bottle of wine from our dinner bill, which felt minimal for our honeymoon. The follow-up emails didn’t leave us feeling fully heard either. Of the four places we stayed on our honeymoon, the customer service here felt the least attentive. Breakfast was disappointing next to the other hotels we visited. The buffet pastries didn’t seem or taste fresh, cooked eggs took a long time to arrive, and the indoor breakfast room was dark and uninspiring. It would’ve been nice to have the option of sitting outside on the terrace. It’s a lovely place and well located for staying near San Gimignano, but the experience didn’t match how it was marketed, and the way our concerns were handled left us let down.

We stayed in the Castel Vecchio room for the first stop of our honeymoon, and it was absolutely perfect. Every detail was gorgeous, so beautiful it hardly seemed real. The staff were incredible and attentive, and we felt so looked after. Since we didn’t have a car, we ate at the restaurant every night. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced for the quality, and the wine was great too. We also had a really fun cooking class. The staff managed to arrange it for us with very little notice. Between the pool, wine tasting and cooking class, everything was lovely. They even left a bottle of sparkling wine in our room with a note of congratulations. I honestly don’t think we could have picked a better hotel to begin our honeymoon. Thank you to all the staff, we had the most amazing time ❤️❤️❤️

Set in a lovely vineyard, this farmhouse hotel is in the cutest little village. The spacious rooms feel modern and comfortable, and the bathrooms are roomy and up to date. There’s parking on site, and San Gimignano is only a short drive away, so it’s easy to reach one of the town’s parking lots. Meals are served in a charming part of the hotel, and both the food and wine are excellent. Breakfast was generous, and the staff were attentive and helpful. I’d happily come back if I were in the area again. Highly recommend this exceptional property.

Service was warm and attentive, and we felt welcome throughout. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented and full of flavor, with delicious olive oil and bread too. The views were stunning from every angle, like postcards. Our only small suggestion is that the bottle of wine we ordered could have been poured for us a bit more often during the meal. A minor detail in an otherwise perfect experience.
