Torre Di San Gimignano

San Gimignano is one of our favourite Tuscan towns, and Casa Torre Margherita made a wonderful place to stay. A lovely B&B right in the centre, surrounded by history and charm. We highly recommend it if you’re planning a stay here.

The room was beautiful and stylish, with an amazing view across Tuscany. This charming B&B is right in the heart of town, and it was exactly what I’d hoped to find. A must if you’re visiting and staying in St. Gimingnano.

We’ve stayed at many hotels in the region, and this was the only one that left us disappointed. Our junior suite had just two small windows, so it was very dark, and it was quite cold too. When we asked for the heating to be turned on, the receptionist, who was probably the owner, made it feel like a problem. On departure, we had to carry our three heavy suitcases down two floors ourselves. There was no elevator, and the stairs were very steep, with no staff available to help. For the price, it wasn’t worth it, and it definitely wasn’t a luxury hotel.

We hated it and would never go back. The staff were rude, and the owner was rude too, completely inflexible and unwilling to help with what we needed. We changed hotels and stayed at Hotel La Cisterna instead. That one was really good.
