Tre Borghi

Small grocery shops are a two-minute drive away, Scario is about 10-15 minutes, and there are plenty of lovely beaches within 30-45 minutes. The countryside around is beautiful too. The modern house at Tre Borghi is very well equipped, surrounded by nature, with gorgeous sea views and a peaceful feel. My family and I had an amazing week of fun and relaxation. We've stayed in lots of places in Italy, and this was one of the best. Domenico and his family were always happy to help, from restaurant reservations to suggestions for beaches and places to visit. It's only been a few days since we left, and I already miss it. Thank you, Domenico.

We loved being able to work here too, thanks to a stable, good internet connection, and there was plenty to do nearby, though it's also a great spot just to rest. The hosts, Francesca and Domenico, are welcoming and clearly put a lot of heart into Tre Borghi. Nothing was too much trouble, and we felt thoroughly spoiled. Domenico speaks very good English and will speak italian if you ask. The setting is quiet, on a large fenced property in a less busy part of the village. Hedges give each house privacy, though it was also nice meeting people from around the world. Our dogs could run safely and loved chasing lizards. Flowers, rosemary bushes, and fruit trees are all around. We picked very sweet mulberries in May, with other fruit available later in the year. We'd stayed in holiday homes across several Italian regions, but always felt something was missing. At Tre Borghi we found what we wanted, including a place for our two dogs. Our Tragara house had lovely sea-themed decor, a practical layout, roomy and spotless spaces, cozy rooms, and comfortable beds. Since we like cooking and baking with local ingredients, the well-equipped kitchen, with plenty of pots and gadgets, mattered a lot. The bathroom was lovely, water pressure and temperature were never a problem, and the washing machine was essential for a long stay. From the house, the view takes in the Gulf of Policastro, Sapri, and Maratea, with majestic Bulgheria opposite. The roads are in good shape and easy to drive, even in a larger car. The only traffic jams were when goat herds crossed the road. We enjoyed walking the nearby hills, with sea views from San Giovanni a Piro, a charming town with essential shops, bars, and restaurants. Scario is 15 minutes by car, and we loved the little natural beaches that you can reach only after a 30-minute walk. Farther out, there are longer walks and hiking routes in the Cilento; Paestum's Archaeological park and Agropoli are both about an hour's drive away. We'd definitely like to return soon.

Domenico was friendly and very helpful, and gave us lots of good recommendations. We found restaurants, supermarkets, and beaches all nearby, just a short drive away. Our stay at Tre Borghi was perfect: the house was spacious and clean, comfortable from the moment we arrived, with an amazing view and lovely outdoor areas to relax in. We enjoyed every minute and would love to come back soon.

Francesca and Domenico were such warm, welcoming hosts. It's clear how much pride they take in both their work and the region, and I only wish I'd had more than a few days with them. I'd be very happy to return. I stayed at Tre Borghi in September and loved the apartment. It was spotless, nicely decorated, and had everything I needed, especially a comfortable mattress. The kitchen had plenty of cooking equipment. There was also a balcony with a table, chairs, and canopy, looking out over the Gulf of Policastro and Monte Bulgheria. The views are the best in southern Italy.
