The views were lovely, and everything looked modern and clean, but the place felt cold and empty. All the doors were locked and there was no one around except the other guests. A woman came by in the morning to hand out breakfast. It didn't feel like the kind of bed and breakfast I'd want as a walker.

We were eight people hiking the Magna Via Francigena and had booked two double rooms and one room for four, with breakfast, at €35 each. The rooms themselves were clean and roomy. Breakfast was the problem: unlike the other B&Bs, it wasn't served there. The owner gave us vouchers for a nearby bakery, supposedly for everything we needed. After walking over twenty kilometers a day, we were counting on a proper early breakfast. Instead, each voucher covered a croissant and 60 cents for coffee from a vending machine, which you had to drink standing up. A cappuccino cost another ten cents out of pocket, and the machine stopped working after two coffees. Back at the B&B, the coffee machine in the shared area was broken too. In my view, that was a real joke and a poor way to run a Bed & Breakfast. We also had to pay cash, with no receipt.
